Yachting on Board with Xquisite – Yachting Magazine Video & Article:

The SIXTY SOLAR POWER

We are pleased to share a new Yachting Magazine feature in which Editor-in-Chief Patrick Sciacca joins Xquisite Yachts CEO Tamas Hamor on board the Xquisite SIXTY SOLAR POWER. The video explores the concept behind the vessel: a true bluewater power catamaran designed for global, owner-operated cruising and circumnavigation-level autonomy.
As a diesel-electric hybrid power catamaran,
she blends solar efficiency, long-range performance, and refined luxury for modern bluewater cruising, pairing an 8 kW solar array with a 184 kWh battery bank for quiet electric operation, while retaining diesel performance up to 24 knots and transoceanic capability at an efficient 8 knots.
The SIXTY SOLAR POWER is engineered specifically for couples and owner-operators, emphasizing autonomy and single-handed maneuverability.
When Patrick asks what single feature a first-time visitor must see, Tamas points to the engine room.
Unlike standard setups, she features a unique hybrid propulsion system that combines both serial and parallel technologies – the redundancy and efficiency needed for ocean crossings.
This engineering also makes her ideal for extended liveaboard use. The 8 kW solar array can significantly reduce generator runtime at anchor by supporting the onboard “hotel load”, including air conditioning and everyday appliances.
