All Xquisite Yachts catamarans are equipped with the Vessel Vanguard system, so our technical department can remotely monitor our yachts maintenance tasks and offer technical assistance if necessary. All maintenance history is logged for future reference, and will be accessible for future buyers when the boat goes on the second hand market, keeping the resale value high.

The X5 won Cruising World’s Most Innovative Sailboat 2017 Award. It also won Sail’s Best Multi-Hull over 50 Feet Award for its construction and beautifully engineered digital switching system.

The South African–made Xquisite, which costs about $1.2 million, has a streamlined digital switching, or “distributed power” system. Early systems, based on automobile technology, were over-complicated and confusing to owners. Judges say that today’s system is refined and much easier to use. One has the ability to pull up the control system and all battery and tank information with an iPad. One may connect to the factory en-route for remote troubleshooting.

Other thoughtful touches are universal wall outlets (which will accept European and American style plugs), USB ports in every cabin and a universal input isolation transformer, which enables the boat to be plugged into shore power anywhere in the world. Today it is easier than ever to just sail away.

With North sails set in 8 to 10 knots of breeze, we made 7 knots close-hauled and watched the speedo jump to 7.9 on a reach

said Tim Murphy in the June edition of Cruising World magazine.

The Xquisite X5 is designed, built and equipped to take you anywhere you might care to go.

A solent rig with a self-trending staysail and a big genoa provides lots of sail-plan options. The cockpit arch anchors the mainsheet traveler and also is home to a killer shower.

Let’s begin by saying the X5 catamaran from Xquisite Yachts, with its soaring cockpit arch, sweeping curves in the cabin top and array of windows, is at first glance, well, distinctive.

But after spending an hour or so digging through the South African-built bluewater cruiser while it was tied to the dock at the U.S. Sailboat Show in Annapolis, Maryland, and another sailing it in a decent breeze on Chesapeake Bay, our team of Boat of the Year judges came up with a better description of the X5: Most Innovative.
